Dr. Jodi Midiri

Dr. Jodi Midiri is a board-certified psychiatrist, former television producer and your podcast host. She treats patients across a spectrum of disorders including, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, bipolar, ADHD, personality disorders, PTSD, and schizophrenia She believes in treating the whole person and is practiced in psychotherapy as well as medication management “I became a psychiatrist because it was clear my passion was to connect with people and help people out of the confines of their mental illness,” Midiri said. “I want to teach patients to have self-compassion and to live their lives to the fullest.” Midiri earned her bachelor’s at New York University where she self-created a major studying Creativity in Mental Health, completed her pre-medical studies at University of Pennsylvania, and received her medical degree at Ross University School of Medicine. She completed her psychiatry residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  She is currently not accepting new patients.

Season 2 introduces co-host, Nam Huynh

Nam Lee Huynh was born in Seattle, Washington. He has spent most of his life focusing on learning the art of creative writing, fine art, and comedy. He also has a personal interest in mental health, and seeks to contribute his “man on the street” approach to the podcast. He’s excited to join The Telepsychiatrist as he believes his perspective will keep the experts from losing the average listener and he might just be able to put a smile on our faces when you least expect it.
